Hello, Podcast4Sci-Fi!
If you are in the New York City area, then you know – the weather has been all sorts of terrible! This rain is making me a little stir-crazy. Luckily, I have plenty of distraction at my disposal i.e. my beloved X-Box 360. I have yet to go the way of the X-Box One but I will SOON!
Lately, I have been tempted to go back to the Elder Scrolls world to prepare for a possible trek into Elder Scrolls Online, which launched on April 4th worldwide. I mean, is there any RPG-lover out there that did not fall madly in love with the beautiful design of Skyrim? The Elder Scrolls enterprise is actually a very old love of mine, beginning with Morrowind. I am talking about being devoted to a game franchise for over a decade! So you know when I heard that there were mods out there, developers out there, that were actively trying to meld Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim together, you know I was happier than an orphan squirrel adopted by Riddle.
The wonderful folks over at The Elder Scrolls Renewal have been painstakingly recreating Morrowind’s beautiful landscape within Skyrim, naming it Skywind. They also have Morroblivion and Skyblivion is being developed. You can check out the FAQ’s and catch some downloads by clicking on those links. Keep in mind, these are all non-commercial and fan-made. But man oh man are they gorgeous, intricate, and breath-taking just like we know the Elder Scrolls games to be.. But you must be saying to yourself, JAZZ THE TITLE OF THIS POST IS GODZILLA?! AND I MEAN THERE’S A NEW MOVIE OUT THAT’S…GODZILLA?! AND YOU AREN’T GAMEGOD SO WHY ARE WE TALKING VIDEO GAMES?! You have seen how wonderfully creative and ingenious these modders can be. So the inspiration for the latest mod probably came from the new film, Walter White‘s fight with a ginormous lizard aka Godzilla.
It’s Godzilla, MechaGodzilla, and even Rohan…IN SKYRIM!!! The DragonBorn might actually have met his match. I mean Godzilla is technically like a dragon but MechaGodzilla? YEAH, YOUR DRAGON SHOUTS HAVE NO POWER HERE! Thanks to modder, Quechus13 and Kotaku for the super cool clip.

Interesting, but the sound design needs some work. I want to here the trees snap under his feet, the air crackle as his flame ignites the air. In addition, I want more flowery words that sizzle my synapses. Thanks.
