Just fyi, in the new xfiles series, when they had that flashback to their kid. It’s supposed to be what they (mulder and scully) thought life with their child could’ve been like had they not given their child up for adoption. The child turning into an alien plays off of Dana Scully’s fear that her child had alien dna (after herself being abducted in the original series and movies) as well as the typical mom fears (kid getting hurt and bruising and/or scraping themselves as seen in the flashback) And the kid being abducted played off of Murder’s fear that he wasn’t able to protect his child from the very thing that happened to his sister. It wasn’t actual events or a legitimate flashback per se, more of a what if.
I couldn’t agree with Jared more! I am still wondering if the whole “aliens” are friends is another smoke screen or not? Me personally I think it is.
